Jason McKay is a Toronto-based visual artist who incorporates his academic background and interest in the sciences into his work, creating what he refers to as a “layering of information” that draws upon the amalgamation of knowledge, science, and existential thought that defines the modern era. A graduate of OCAD, his abstract-expressionist work moves effortlessly between the fields of science and art, bridging what is commonly seen as a wide gap between the two and finding more similarities than differences between the fields.
