Harley Valentine is a Toronto-based sculptor who specializes in large, outdoor biomorphic metal sculptures, often drawing upon mythology and history for inspiration, as well as natural forms and objects. Self-taught, he surfaced on the Toronto art scene at the age of 26, and his works have been exhibited and displayed in public spaces across Canada. Most recently, he received the International Sculpture bid for the Sony Centre Plaza on Front Street in Toronto, and will create an installation entitled Dream Ballet to be displayed outside the famed Toronto venue.
