a map for this place - Community Mapping Project

Humber Galleries’ September/October exhibition a map for this place, curated by Maddie Alexander and Safia Siad, critically approaches what it means to learn and teach in non-institutionalized ways.

For this satellite activity, drop in to paint your own learning experiences and histories on our community map for this place! We will have paint, paintbrushes, sharpies, and a large canvas map of the Etobicoke-Lakeshore neighbourhood. Share your sites of learning and living: where you like to play, the location you first touched the water, the histories you heard later, the best spot to forage nettles, a difficult site you avoid, the place you ran into an old friend. How have you navigated this space?

This free drop in will be taking place from 10am - 4pm on Saturday, September 29th as part of this year's Etobicoke Lakeshore Culture Day.

Location: Humber Student Welcome and Resource Centre
