How does the virtual space we inhabit relate to the physical, social and economic reality of our community? “mAPPing the Territory” explores these questions from a youth perspective using mobile apps to tell stories through cartography about the community, public space and local networks.
This project is generously supported by Humber College Community Partnership Fund and is a part of Myseum Intersections.
Myseum Intersections is an annual festival of exhibits showcasing different perspectives of the city's natural, cultural, and historic diversity.
This year's theme, Envisioning Toronto, explores Toronto’s many communities, cultures and characters, and highlights how different perspectives converge to create multiple visions of our city’s past, present and future. Who holds and who has held the vision(s) of our city? As we reflect on the city’s past, how can we create possible futures?

DoUC started as a result of a shared need to ask questions about our everyday existence. This curiosity continues to grow and has manifested over the years through projects that traverse urban design, public art, education, cartography, and social engagement. Our hope is to affect the social good through the physical world and to help build society through our work.
Sometimes strange, beautiful, or controversial, DoUC tells each story with a dedication to creating substantive experiences and content that people can engage with, reflect on and react to.
Pathways to Education’s vision is: Breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Working in Rexdale / Jamestown in Etobicoke, we work with youth, parents, teachers and agencies to provide innovative and youth centered programs while creating opportunities for community involvement, employment readiness and post-secondary success. Our mission is to provide youth in low-income communities the resources and network of support to graduate from high school and build the foundation for a successful future.
