Artist Statement •
"A couple months ago I was encouraged to start an Instagram account for my dog Hammy. Taking photos of him is something I've always enjoyed but it wasn't until my nana's passing did I have a true appreciation for this hobby. When my nana passed away, I took the week off work and during that week I went on long walks with him taking lots of photos. Being able to observe him enjoying new experiences, scents and places helped me heal and accept that death is a part of life. But with death, you also have life and being able to focus on these photographs really helped me process that and see the beautiful moments that easily go by unnoticed."
