Community as a Canvas

 

Calling all Humber student artists! Humber Galleries has partnered with Toronto long-term care home Chester Village for a brand new student artwork challenge. We are asking you to create an original artwork to brighten up the hallway for residents and hard-working staff to enjoy. 

Theme: Colour, and lots of it! Otherwise, the sky is the limit. 

Size: minimum size is 36” x 48” and maximum size is 48” x 72” 

Medium: Any 2-D physical medium you like (excluding photography)

Artwork Location: The artwork is to be located in a main hallway of Chester Village, used regularly by residents and staff.

Prize: $300 Visa Gift Card to the winning artist! All artwork submissions will be featured in an online gallery and on Humber Galleries social media channels.**

**Please note: Contest and applications are only open to residents of Canada due to current international shipping issues.**

How to get involved:

The winning artwork will be judged by the Humber Galleries team and a staff member at Chester Village and the winning artist will be notified by December 11th. Artwork will be displayed permanently in Chester Village’s hallway along with a plaque detailing the artist name and artwork details.
