Cassandra Sinnaeve - Reactivation

Disequilibrium by Cassandra Sinnaeve

Inspired by: Piano Solo III: Rockies by Alex Whorms

Artist Statement:

Working and drawing inspiration from Alex Whorm’s music piece, Piano Solo III: Rockies, I found myself transported to a world of abstract puzzles, zero gravity, mountain tops and deep crevices. In this piece, I explore what it would be like to climb mountains and embody the highs and lows of this adventure. Will each step throw me off-balance? What new shapes do I find on this adventure? What will happen if I fall? How does oxygen, or lack of it, affect movement?
